About

Built by students, for students.

The Blockchain Club at Indiana University is a student-run club for people who want to understand digital assets and actually do something with them. We learn together, build projects, enter competitions, and travel to conferences.

We learn by doing. We’ve gone up against MBA and PhD teams at national competitions and placed, and we’ve had just as much fun losing sleep at a hackathon.

Open to all IU students regardless of major or experience. We’re looking for people who are curious and willing to do the work.

What we do

More than research.

The club

We’re a club, not a lecture series.

Members show up because it’s actually fun. We build things, argue about ideas, compete as a team, and travel together.

Weekly seminars

We pick apart a protocol or a paper and argue about it.

Wednesdays, 6 PM

Research competitions

Deep on-chain research, judged by industry analysts.

A few each year

Hackathons

Thirty-six hours to build something real. We’ve won a few.

Every semester

Speaker series

Founders and researchers who actually build in the space.

Throughout the year

Conference travel

We fly out to compete at the conferences that matter, on the club’s dime when we can swing it.
